The history of the Craft House dates back to 1970 with the founding of the applied art group “Dzīpars” of the Jaunpils Culture House. 2006. The association “Dzīpars” was founded in 2006, which takes care of participation in various competitions, helping to provide handicraftsmen with various equipment and tools. Organizes events for knitters in Latvia and locally. 2015. on 2. Jaunpils Craft House will be opened in April. It has groups of weavers, potters, seamstresses, knitters and other small handicrafts.
Visitors are offered:
Jaunpils Craft House since 2015. is led by a graduate master – weaver Velga Pavlovska. Velga is an enthusiastic leader who cares about preserving the Latvian heritage, as well as integrating modern traditions into crafts.
Manager Velga is committed to popularizing Jaunpils region as a space friendly to culture and creative expressions, to creating a favorable environment for learning and preserving ancient and modern craft skills.
