The picturesque surroundings of Jaunpils Castle are a popular destination for travelers from near and far in all seasons.
At the beginning of the 20th century, Jaunpils could be considered a small “kingdom” of mills, because alongside the watermills, there were also windmills. To this day, the Jaunpils watermill is a unique example of industrial heritage and a testament to the excellent cooperation of carpenters and engineers. From 1803 to 1929, the mill belonged to the von der Reck family. Since 2016, the watermill has been the property of the Jaunpils municipality, which has begun its restoration. Today, the mill is an open tourist attraction where you can learn about the mill's operations and the grain processing process.

The construction period of the church is considered to be from 1592 to 1638. The tower was built in 1750. The main decorative accent in the Jaunpils church is the pulpit and the restored ornate altar. In 2015, the historical organ prospectus was restored and the organ was installed in it. The church is not only an important accent in the landscape of the historical center of Jaunpils, but also a model of architecture of the turn of the 16th–17th centuries. It was created during the reign of Baron von der Reke. The castle park is an architectural monument of national importance. There are several large trees in the park. Stories say that he had the gardener plant the trees in such a way that the Reke family coat of arms would form, when the trees bloomed in spring. Gravel paths led everywhere. A romantic path along the riverbank leads to the love stone. Older people remember this stone from 1913. In the summer of 2009, a new stage was built in Jaunpils Park. In 2019, the park will have a beautiful gazebo, where young couples exchange wedding rings.
Kartavkalni hides a legend about a sunken castle. It is an ancient Latvian hillfort, which was inhabited by Semigallians in the 10th-13th centuries. Nowadays, Kartavkalni is a beautiful scenic object, where nature trails of various nature and complexity are arranged. A model of an ancient settlement and an observation tower have been created in the park, and a picnic area with a bonfire has also been arranged. The mighty nature of Kartavkalni is a witness to countless wedding photo sessions after marriages in Jaunpils Castle.
