Lovers of art and beauty will be led up by the narrow medieval stairs from the first floor of the museum to the exhibition halls and gallery, where exhibitions of both professional and local artists, craftsmen and flower growers can be seen.
In the expositions of Jaunpils Museum it is possible to learn not only the history of larger and smaller manors of Jaunpils, but also to see models of castles of the Livonian Order – Jaunpils and Dobele, von der Reku family trees, archeological finds, collections of coins and hunting accessories. The stairs take you to the Knights’ Cellar, where you can enjoy the historical environment, see the forms of knights, learn about the history of chivalry in Latvia and see historical objects related to Jaunpils Castle and two of the three cannons of Jaunpils Castle.
The core value of every museum is a collection that stores evidence of time, personalities, events in audiovisual, pictorial and archaeological sources. You can get acquainted with the materials of the museum collection in the museum expositions and exhibitions.
From 2007. The museum participates in the creation of the joint catalog of the National Museum Collection by digitizing the collection. It would not be possible to create a museum collection without the support of the population. 98% of the collection of Jaunpils Museum consists of gifts.
The guests and young people of Jaunpils Museum have appreciated the books published by the museum about the history and people of the region. Book “Jaunpils muižas, muižiņas” for the first time compiled a historical story about the history of Jaunpils region and manors for seven centuries – from the 13th. to 20. century.
Has been issued “Jaunpils legend” a collection of stories and legends from Jaunpils.
Book “Strutele Gray Barons” Author Maija Kovalenko has opened the door to the life stories of the people of Strutele, encouraging the reader to understand and analyze our own modern course of time, which we call life 21. century.
