Concerts in the most beautiful places of the castle
The House of Culture in cooperation with other structures of the castle organizes high-quality contemporary music concerts, which gather listeners from all over Latvia. Concerts take place in the most beautiful places of the castle – in the old building of the castle watermill, in the romantic medieval courtyard of the castle, on the love island of the castle, and in one of the many halls of the castle.
The House of Culture is home to:
Ten different generations of amateur art groups:
- Jaunpils mixed choir;
- middle generation dance group “Jaunpils”;
- ensemble “Pīlādzītis”;
- children’s ensemble “Ķipariņi”;
- applied art group “Dzipars”;
- preschool children’s dance group “Pilskundziņi”;
- girls’ vocal “TRIO”;
- Jaunpils Theater;
- line dance group “Vīgriezes”;
- line dance group “Randevu”.
Culture lives in the castle
Jaunpils Culture House is a structural unit of the municipal agency “Jaunpils”, which has been living and working in the castle premises for several years. The House of Culture is run by Silva Nordena. The aim of the House of Culture is to develop, cultivate, popularize, organize and support the work of folk art and other creative amateur art groups, integrating into the cultural and folk art activities of their region and country and implementing the interests and recreational needs of all young generations and social groups.
The House of Culture organizes:
- New Year’s Carnival;
- Valentine’s Day party;
- Easter celebrations;
- fair;
- season finale;
- Midsummer celebrations;
- green balls;
- medieval festivals;
- public holidays;
- self-employed party;
- r water ball;
- p concerts of professional artists, etc.
